Public Consultation Open – BRCGS Consumer Products Standard Issue 4

26/04/2025

BRCGS has initiated the revision process for the Global Standard Consumer Products Issue 4 and is inviting feedback from all stakeholders through a public consultation.

First published in 2003, with Issue 4 launched in 2016, the Consumer Products Standard has become the most widely adopted certification standard in its sector, covering over 930 certificated sites across 59 countries worldwide.

The Standard is designed to help sites develop, implement, and continually improve their product safety management systems, grounded in the principles of risk assessment and good manufacturing practices. Its objective is to ensure the delivery of safe, legal products of specified quality to the end consumer.

The ongoing review and evolution of BRCGS Standards are fundamental to maintaining relevance and value. Through this process, the Standards are updated to reflect current industry trends, operational practices, regulatory developments, customer expectations, and emerging best practices. The revision provides an opportunity to further enhance the benefits stakeholders derive from the use of the Standard.
